A bit more about me

On the record.

The long-form story behind the case studies. What I bring to product work, how I work, and the arc that got me here.

Amy Tsai, Product Manager and Designer based in Vancouver

Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada

I'm a Product Manager and Designer with 5+ years building digital products in tech. My work sits at the intersection of product strategy, product judgment, and design instinct — defining the what and why, then structuring the how so teams can execute with clarity and confidence.

Before tech, I spent a decade leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across real estate development and large-scale events. That cross-industry foundation taught me how to bring structure to ambiguous work, navigate high-stakes timelines, and translate strategy into delivery — skills I use every day in product.

Outside of product work, I produce narrative short films (Telus funded; VAFF / MAMM competition) and serve as a peer grief support facilitator at Bridge C-14 — work that keeps me close to people and the way they actually live, build, and move through hard moments. I bring that same orientation back into product: build for the human, not just the user.

A working principle

"A solution is only as strong as the understanding behind it; a team is only as fast as the empathy between them."
